I&amp;#39;m working on a short set ...</title><content type='html'>Fantastic advice!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I&amp;#39;m working on a short set in a restaurant bar, so I&amp;#39;ve spent a lot of time trying to figure out what to do about the numerous background characters...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I had a moment this past weekend where I realized just how effective background characters can be when I was watching Guillermo del Toro&amp;#39;s Hellboy II (in particular, the scenes in the Troll Market). He developed a whole society, world and economy for these characters to live in and realistically populate. It worked so well!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Anyhow, thanks for the great thoughts! When dealing with secondary charac...</title><content type='html'>Brilliant post!&lt;br /&gt;When dealing with secondary characters, people tend to say that it is important not to have them distract from the main action.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Your post has been really inspiring.
