Particularly as in my own teachings and personal lessons I have always steered towards industry relevance. Maybe I’m getting old or something.  :P&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;In this case I’m wondering if the word “types” in the question is about different “mediums”, or about different contexts. Where dose animation that defies the rules fit into the online animation landscape? I wonder if Jackson Pollock could paint a technically well executed portrait or landscape if he had too? Would it have made any difference to his more significant work if he could or couldn’t? The fact that he chose not too didn’t stop him from making a significant contribution to the world of painting (this point depends on your opinion about his paintings of course :P)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I guess it’s just important to make the point that we are talking about a commercial (or aspiring to a commercial) standard here.
